A PC, laptop or tablet with uninterrupted Wi-Fi at a minimum of 10MBPS (up and down) using an up-to-date browser. A wired headset with a microphone is optional but preferred. See details here.

The key is small and frequent doses every week, as opposed to tiring your child with long periods on the program. Try to make Amira a consistent habit for best results. Those that use Amira >3x a week for just 15-20 minutes per session show the most progress. Children need at least 20 sessions on Amira to track reading improvement.

Oral Reading Fluency (Words Correct Per minute), Vocabulary size, Sight Recognition, Phonics Knowledge, Phonemic Awareness, and Language Comprehension; Percentile rankings by grade for each of these; dyslexia risk.
