Yes. Amira provides ready-to-use family communication templates and guides to help keep parents informed and engaged in their child’s reading journey.

Ensure students read to Amira at least 3 sessions per week. We recommend students read 2-4 stories each session (which can take 5-15min). Why? Research by Carnegie Mellon University shows 30 minutes every week on Amira dramatically accelerates reading growth over the course of the year. The key is small and frequent doses every week as opposed to fatiguing students with long periods on the program. Common times include: whole-group, stations/centers, pull-out intervention, & homework.
